Metalworks Skate Park Grand Opening and Skate Jam

The City of Ferndale is STOKED to invite the public to Ferndale’s Metalworks Skate Park Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening Event on October 12, 2024, to celebrate this highly anticipated project for our community. The event will take place at Metalworks Skate Park, located at 5532 Second Avenue in Ferndale. The event will begin at 1:00 p.m. for a park preview, with opening remarks, speeches, and official ribbon cutting beginning promptly at 1:30 p.m. Following the ribbon cutting, the community is invited to stay for an epic, family-friendly, all ages and abilities welcome, Skate Jam hosted by the Unknown Board Shop, WWS Board Shop, and Northwest Skate Collective with music, food trucks, and giveaways. The City is welcoming all community members, skaters, stakeholders, and project supporters to celebrate the completion Metalworks Skate Park; a place for community members of all ages to connect, shred, and build community in the heart of Downtown Ferndale. We encourage anyone and everyone, skaters and posers alike, to participate in this monumental, epic event.
